"Join Young Leaders Group for Explorations in Sustainability and Tales of Radical Reuse, featuring Architect David Hertz. David is an internationally renowned architect and creator who is known for blending avant-garde design with sustainable features. Among many great architectural works, he designed the 747 Wing House located in the Santa Monica Mountains, a creative reuse project wherein he converted an entire Boeing 747-200 plane to a beautiful modern home in a natural location with amazing topographic views. His projects typically incorporate solar power, radiant heating, natural ventilation, and high performance heat mirror glazing. David also designs furniture and artwork that is currently being exhibited at New York’s Museum of Modern Art as well as Santa Monica’s own LEED Platinum NRDC Building.
