SEA has remodeled and restored this 1966 post-and-beam Mid-Century Modern residence originally designed by Doug Rucker. SEA has continued to work with successive owners and completed additional restorations and sensitive additions while maintaining the integrity of the original design.

The Rucker architecture has been carefully preserved and thoughtfully updated in SEA’s approach, reinforcing the home’s relationship to its boulder-strewn site. New Syndecrete surfaces enhance the home’s indoor-outdoor hybridity, introducing an earthy material continuity that anchors the architecture to the landscape. Environmentally responsible concrete countertops, hardwood floors, custom cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, and refined European fixtures and fittings were integrated throughout the 1,876-square-foot main house.
