a+d museum dress
This dress benefitted the A+D Museum’s annual fundraiser fashion show. The dress is inspired by Samurai armor, and formally alludes to oceanic forms as well. The lower half of the dress, defined by clearly defined panels overlapping like scales, is counterbalanced by an expressive shoulder piece that grows out like flamboyant barnacles. The dress itself is composed of recycled plastic bottles and rivets.
