The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies and The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design has informed us that the 747 Wing House  has received The American Architecture Award for 2012:

The American Architectural Awards are the highest and most prestigious distinguished building awards program that honors new and cutting-edge design.  This annual program, organized by both our institutions, also promotes American architectural design to our public audience at large.  The program has become the most significant and most comprehensive distinguished awards program in the United States.

A full list of winning projects for 2012 is attached and can be viewed  at the Museum’s website at www.chi-athenaeum.org or at www.europeanarch.eu.

In October, 2012, The Chicago Athenaeum, together with The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies will present a special exhibition of all awarded American buildings at our annual symposium, “The City and the World” in Istanbul, Turkey and in conjunction with the Istanbul Biennial.
