A+D Custom Sustainable Surfboard
David Hertz FAIA Architect and S.E.A. designed this sustainable surfboard to donate for the A+D Museum Auctions. The top deck is made from inlaying various types of recycled bamboo to form the Golden Means with the Spiral Helix, which represent the idealized proportions in nature. The bottom and wrap around are iconographic images from Le Corbusier's Modular Man. In addition to using recycled bamboo, this board is made with Super Sap sustainable epoxy, Enropy's biobased resins, and is a verified Sustainable Surfboard. Surfboard shaping by Ryan Harris at 'E-Tech Boards' and sponsored by Sustainable Surf.
